Events and Festivals

Fed up of going to the same places, and seeing the same faces? How’s about you try something different without having to travel miles away? There are plenty of places here on your doorstep for you to enjoy. Annual events such as Creamfields, located in Daresbury, are a great way to dance the night away and be surrounded by a great atmosphere. There are some of the most famous dj’s, such as David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia and live acts… it would be hard to say no. People from all over come together and it is a great opportunity to meet new people and make some good memories. So grab those Hunter’s and your warmest anorak and get your groove on!

What about a night of full on entertainment? Head to the Pyramid and Parr Hall and you will not be disappointed. Every week there is something different, for all ages and genders. From dance classes, to live bands to stand up comedy. There is entertainment for the kid’s; pantomimes are a perfect way to keep them occupied for a weekend or in those dreaded holidays. Some hosts include Omid Djalili, Jimmy Carr, KT Tunstall and Sally Morgan. Prices range from £5 to £36.

For those art lovers or curious art wannabe’s, why not head to the Warrington Museum and Art Gallery, The Gallery at Bank Quay House, and across the Cultural Quarter and Town Centre. Fancy watching Warrington Wolves beat all of the other teams yet again?! Slightly biased of me, but who’s judging! Visit the Halliwell Jones stadium and support your local team- every little helps! It’s worth every penny, at around about £16, it is a fab way to join your community and get involved. . It is perfect if you enjoy competitive sports or fancy men in shorts alternatively! Ahem!
